HUDDIG 1260B - general

Podstawowe informacje

Improved torque with retained top speed

After intense development work we finally have our new model Huddig 1260 in the production line. The main changes in comparison with the former model are in three different areas: Engine, Body and Electronics. Our focus is to fill our customers needs, so after some careful listening we have developed an articulated backhoe loader that has ability to handle the most variable working tasks. Weathers, terrains or times of year do not matter anymore, with Huddig 1260 you get a tool you always can trust. A multi-tool carrier like this gives you the possibilities to find new working areas for your business. When we here at Huddig refer to multi-use and multi-tool, we know what we are talking about.
The environmental legislation demands a change of engine from stage 2 to stage 3 with beginning in January 1st 2007. The former 5,9 litre engine is now replaced by a 6,7 litre engine of same manufacture. The working goal has especially been optimizing the torque, so that the powerful engine really gives its best by the number of revolutions where it is needed.

The new, powerful Cummins QSB 6.7 stage 3 puts the new Huddig 1260 in a class of its own. It is stronger than ever and now has 36% higher torque than before. It also has Common-Rail high pressure injection, which gives optimal fuel economy.

Cummins QSB 6,7 Stage 3

Behind the power engine of Huddig 1260, lies extensive work including tests, case studies and consultations with a reference group of dealers. The most important collaborator has been a Swedish company called STT Emtec, their working field covers testing, development and engine tuning. We can proudly say that Huddig 1260 is STRONGER & MORE FUEL EFFICIENT than earlier models.
Electrical & Electronics system

Huddig 1260 has an entirely new electrical and electronics system. The previous system has been replaced by a new central computer and information display. The service intervals are extended and communication with individual machines, can now be carried out remotely via GSM. The new system is expanded with two "satellites" - one in the front frame and one in the rear. The units communicate between themselves via CAN bus, a standard for mobile data communication. This construction leads, among other things, to considerably lessened cabling.

Rear frame - Data box with fuses

The new software, used to optimize and individualize the machines driving characteristics, has been developed and built within the Huddig walls. The advantage of having the know-how "in house" means that development, upgrading and improvements can be done fast and with flexibility.

So, what about the operating system? It has a predicting mechanism with a graphical display which monitors pressure and temperatures, number of revolutions and is equipped with hour meter etc. The number of revolutions is automaticly adapted to the engines needs of power and speed during transport - this effectively economize fuel and lowers the sound level.

Huddig 1260 also has more characteristics, here is a short presentation of a few :
- Automatic motor on-speed when digging.
- Speed dependent articulation.
- Monitoring of diesel engine, hydrostatics, gear box and hydraulics, and warning if any of the values gets close to critical.
- Reduction of aggregate speed is possible with the help of a change-over switch. This optimize planning and precision work.
- Reduction of transmission speed is possible when edging along via a change-over switch.

In the body design the main focus has been that the engine and the hydraulics are easly accessible when serviced, that the view is clear from the cabin, the ability to work comfortably and keeping our wellknown Huddig-look. The body lines of the Huddig 1260 are cleaner than previous models since the radiator, air filter and sound damper are placed under the hoods. Don't you agree that is what makes Huddig 1260 BETTER LOOKING?

The hydraulic hoses to the loader have been pulled in and mounted in the frame instead, this contributes to the improved view from the cabin.

The clear view between loader and hood, seen from outside.

The new glass fiber hood is divided in three main sections. The cabin and the hoods three sections are easily openable/folding to facilitate access and service with retained safety.

The dip stick is easily reached from the outside of the hood. Easily removable side plates cover the engine compartment.

The digging aggregate is integrated with the rear frame to obtain the least possible overhang and maximum angles of interference. This also improves the stability when working without the support legs or for example when cable ploughing by the side of the articulated backhoe loader. The integrated placement of the aggregate also gives maximum weight distribution.

The new Huddig 1260B produces even better torque. This is a result of its new axles (MTL generation II), new gearbox and a newly developed hydrostatic transmission. The new ratio entails an increase in torque of around 17% in low ratio and around 10% in high ratio, while retaining the same top speed. It is now stronger than ever, and together with Common-Rail high-pressure injection, the machine achieves optimal fuel economy. The Huddig 1260B is in a class of its own.

Huddig Telematik means that Huddig's technicians and Huddig's authorised service agents can rapidly carry out both diagnostics and updates directly in the backhoe loader’s central computer, regardless of where it is in the world – as long as there is GSM coverage! Unauthorised personnel cannot connect to the system, as it is protected by special software and passwords.
